The Herbert Justice Academy of Performing Arts was founded in July 1997 by Alan Justice. The Academy is named after Alan's father, Herbert Justice and is the realisation of an ambition to bring theatre arts to everyone. The Academy began with seven pupils and over the years has flourished to become a leading theatre school and achieving international success.

HJA has built an exceptional reputation for excellence in theatre arts training achieving 100% pass rate with all vocational exams taken. To date HJA has produced over 100 productions - many of which have been written specifically for the Academy by Alan. Pupils have worked professionally appearing in the West End Musicals, Theatre, T.V, Film, Fashion and Advertising.

The Academy achieved International Status in August 2007 by being the first Performing Arts School from the UK to be invited to perform in America with both the Disney Corporation and Universal Studios USA. Since then students have performed several times in the USA in Orlando, Los Angeles and Hollywood receiving Outstanding Performance Awards from Disney and Universal USA. Alan works internationally developing Theatre Arts and is the Producer and Director of his own International Dance Company 'Dance Alive'.

I am totally focused on encouraging and developing students to reach their full potential and to have the self belief in their own ability to succeed.
